High strength, ornamental stainless steel tubing is
a design feature in many high-end consumer products. Our ability to
deliver tubing that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also

The manufacturing process for precision welded
stainless steel tubing begins with coils of 304L stainless, which
are slit to the proper width for your desired size. The cut strip
passes through a series of rollers that progressively form it into a
tubular shape. It then passes through our high frequency
electric-resistance welder, which joins the edges together under
pressure and forms a clean, strong bond. The high frequency
electric-resistance welding process assures a stronger weld than
conventional TIG and laser welds. No filler metal is added to the
weld and due to metallurgical changes occurring during the process,
the welded joint is actually stronger than the parent material.
Finished tubing is then buffed and polished to spec,
providing a gleaming finish suitable for the most critical
application. Welded Tubes, Inc. stainless steel tubing meets the
requirements of ASTM 249 and 554.
Get Proven Weld Integrity
Welded Tubes, Inc. has conducted and authorized
sophisticated metallurgical testing and analysis to confirm the
effectiveness of electric resistance welding of stainless steel
tubing. Microscopic inspection of weld cross sections shows the
structure in the heat affected zone recrystallizes to form an
excellent metallurgical bond.
